Coaches
Our Coaches motivate to do our best in everything we do whether its robotics, school, or in life they want the best for us. So this year, our club goal is to take them to Worlds because they honestly deserve it. Mrs. Lewis and Mr. Howell are more than just coaches to us, their our mentors and family. We as a club aspire to face every day with the same positive energy and tenacity as they do for us.
Ardenia Lewis
Mrs. Lewis – If robotics club is a family then Mrs. Lewis is definitely our mom. She keeps us on track and encourages us whenever she can and is not afraid to have fun while doing it. Mrs. Lewis is a Technology Education Teacher at Gar-Field High School and teaches Graphics and Communications. She has two Master's Degrees in Education and Software Engineering. In addition, she is an FTX coach, Vex robotics coach, and VTEEA Northern Regional President.
Steven Howell
Mr. Howell – He can be described as the brains of the operations. His experience and positive mentality motivates us every day to do our best in what we do. His motto is “If you’re ready to learn, then I am ready to teach.” His passion to teach and technical knowledge drives our team to the best of our abilities. Within our Gar-Field community, Mr. Howell teaches Project Lead the Way, additionally, he not only assist Vex teams, but FTC and Sea Perch.
